These terms cover your use of skistubborngoat.com and our text message program. By using the site or signing up for texts, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or sign up for texts.

Stubborn Goat, LLC is a California company doing business as Stubborn Goat Ski & Board Tune Shop ("Stubborn Goat", "we", "us"), at 7547 Convoy Ct, San Diego, CA 92111.

Our services and prices

The prices on this site are our current prices for the listed services. We may change them at any time, but the price we agree on when you drop off your gear is the price you pay for that work.
Services marked "Free quote" (such as base repair and top sheet repair) are priced after we look at your gear. We won't start that work until you approve the quote. If you say no, you don't pay for the repair.
Turnaround times on the site, such as "most standard tunes are ready in 1 to 3 days", are our usual times, not a promise. Busy weeks and repairs can take longer. We'll tell you if we expect a delay.
The work we do on your gear is covered by the maintenance agreement you sign at drop-off. If that agreement and these terms ever disagree about the work on your gear, the agreement wins.

Using this website

Please use the site for its normal purpose: learning about our shop and contacting us.
Don't try to break, overload or get into parts of the site that aren't public, and don't send spam through our contact form.
The photos, video, text and logo on this site belong to Stubborn Goat, except where noted. Please don't copy them for business use without asking us first. Sharing a link to our pages is always fine.
Customer reviews on our site are real reviews posted by customers on Yelp or Google. We show them with the name as it appears on that site.

Snow reports and other websites

Our Snow Reports page links to ski resorts and Caltrans so you can check conditions and chain rules yourself. We don't run those sites and we aren't affiliated with those resorts. Conditions change fast. Always check the resort and Caltrans directly before you drive. We aren't responsible for what other websites say or do.

Limits of our responsibility

We work hard to keep this site correct and up to date, but it's provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. To the extent California law allows, Stubborn Goat is not responsible for losses caused by using this website or by relying on information from other websites we link to. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under California law that can't be waived.

Disputes

These terms are governed by California law. If we have a disagreement, please call or email us first; most things can be sorted out with a conversation. If not, it will be handled in the courts of San Diego County, California, including small claims court.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

Text message terms

These terms apply to our text message program, Stubborn Goat Shop Texts, run by Stubborn Goat, LLC.

What you'll get. Texts about your visit and your gear:

order updates, for example "we've got your skis" or "your gear is ready for pickup" and your total
repair quotes and reminders to approve or decline them
pickup reminders if your gear is waiting for you
replies to questions you send us
one request for feedback after your visit: a short "How did we do?" question (reply 1 to 5), then a thank-you and a link to share your experience on Google if you'd like, or simply a request to review our shop on Google

This program doesn't include ads or special offers. Deals come only through Stubborn Goat Deals, a separate program you choose to join (below).

How you join. You join by checking the optional texting box on our website contact form or on the check-in tablet in our shop. The box is never checked for you. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything from us. Without texts, we'll contact you by email or phone call instead.

How often. Message frequency varies. It depends on your visits, usually a few texts per visit.

Cost. Msg & data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.

Stop. Text STOP to any message to stop getting texts. You'll get one final text confirming you've been unsubscribed, and then no more. Other words such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT or "opt out" also work. You can also tell us in the shop, by phone or by email, and we'll stop within 10 business days at the latest (usually right away).

Start again. Text START to turn texts back on.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number. Please sign up only with a mobile number that is yours, or that you have permission to use. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian agree for you. If you change or give up your number, text STOP first or let us know, so your texts don't go to someone else.

Privacy. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy policy for details.

Thank-you rewards

After a visit we may ask you how we did. When our thank-you reward is on, here is how it works:

Everyone who answers gets the same reward, whatever score you give, from 1 to 5.
It is a thank-you for answering us. It is not for a public review. It never depends on whether you post a review anywhere, or on what a review says.
One reward per answer. We tell you about it in the shop and it shows at checkout, with how much it is and the last day you can use it.
How to use it. It takes the stated amount off one future visit for our services, before tax. You can use it once, and only one thank-you reward per visit. It has no cash value and can't be exchanged for cash, transferred or sold.
Changes. We may change or end the reward program at any time. A reward you already have stays good until its last day.

Deals by text: Stubborn Goat Deals

These terms apply to our marketing text program, Stubborn Goat Deals, run by Stubborn Goat, LLC.

What you'll get. Season opening news, tune specials and holiday deals from our shop.

How you join. Tick the optional deals box on our website or on the check-in tablet in our shop, or text DEALS to (858) 877-9827. The box is never ticked for you. Signing up is not a condition of buying anything from us. It is separate from our order texts: joining one doesn't join the other.

How often. Up to 4 msgs/month, never more than one a day, sent between 11am and 4pm Pacific time, Monday to Saturday.

Cost. Msg & data rates may apply.

Stop. Text STOP to any message. This stops all our texts, deals and order texts. You'll get one final text confirming it. To stop deals only and keep order texts, tell us in the shop, by phone or by email. Text START to turn order texts back on; text DEALS to rejoin deals.

Offers. Each offer has the terms and dates shown in the message. We may end a deal program at any time; offers already sent stay good until their end date.
