Text messages from Stubborn Goat

Stubborn Goat, LLC, doing business as Stubborn Goat Ski & Board Tune Shop, sends two kinds of texts. Both are optional, and you choose each one separately.
- Stubborn Goat Shop Texts: texts about your visit and your gear: order updates, repair quotes, pickup reminders, receipts and copies of your paperwork, replies to your questions, and one request for feedback after your visit.
- Stubborn Goat Deals: marketing texts such as season opening news, tune specials and holiday deals. Only if you sign up for deals separately.
How you sign up in our shop
When you drop off your gear, you check in on our tablet at the counter. After your name and email, one screen asks how we should tell you your gear is ready. You pick one of three tiles. None is chosen for you, and "Don't text me" gets you the same service by phone call or email.

Deals are a separate choice
The next tablet screen offers deals. The box is optional and never ticked for you. Ticking it, or not, changes nothing about your order texts.

Our contact form has its own optional texting box under the phone number field. It is never ticked for you, and the form sends fine without it.

What we send and how often

- Message frequency varies. Usually a few texts per visit: a check-in confirmation, a quote if your gear needs more work, a "ready for pickup" text and a reminder.
- Deals
- Up to 4 msgs/month, never more than one a day, Monday to Saturday between 11am and 4pm Pacific time.
- Cost
- Msg & data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.
Every text starts with "Stubborn Goat:" so you know it is us.
Stop, help and start again
- STOP
- Reply STOP to any text to stop all our texts, order texts and deals. You get one last text confirming it, then no more. END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE and OPTOUT work too.
- HELP
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (858) 876-2453 or info@skistubborngoat.com.
- START
- Reply START to turn order texts back on.
- DEALS
- Text DEALS to rejoin deals.
You can also tell us in the shop, by phone or by email, and we will stop your texts. To stop deals only and keep order texts, just tell us.
